Description
This product is a classic teapot crafted by the underglaze blue and copper red technique, with traditional interlocking lotus patterns as the core decorative element. It perfectly integrates the elegant tranquility of underglaze blue and the warm richness of copper red. The teapot features smooth and rounded lines with a coordinated proportion, which not only has the practical function of making tea but also contains profound Chinese cultural heritage. It is an excellent choice for daily tea tasting, collection and display, and gifting relatives and friends.

Core Craftsmanship: Underglaze Blue and Copper Red

Underglaze blue and copper red is a precious variety in ancient Chinese ceramics, belonging to the high-temperature underglaze color craftsmanship. This product uses high-quality kaolin as the raw material. After blank making, drying and biscuit firing, the outline of the blue and white pattern is first drawn with cobalt-containing pigment, then the copper red pattern is outlined and filled with copper-containing pigment. Finally, transparent glaze is applied and fired in a high-temperature reducing flame at about 1350℃ in one go. This craftsmanship has high requirements for temperature control and pigment proportioning. The underglaze blue is bright and green, and the copper red is mellow and full. The two complement each other, showing exquisite craftsmanship.

Pattern Meaning: Interlocking Lotus

The entire body of the teapot is decorated with interlocking lotus patterns, which take lotus as the main body and are supplemented by winding vines. The vines are endless, and the lotus flowers are in full bloom. Interlocking lotus pattern is one of the traditional Chinese auspicious patterns. “Lian” (lotus) is homophonic with “Lian” (integrity), symbolizing integrity and incorruptibility; the continuous vines imply endless life, blessings and longevity; the overall pattern not only shows the beauty of nature but also embodies the yearning for a better life.

Wood-Fired Porcelain — Coffee Cup 4

Best Sellers, LIVE PRODUCTS, Wood-Fired Porcelain
$99.00 Original price was: $99.00.$69.00Current price is: $69.00.
Wood-fired pottery is an ancient firing method, with wood as the primary fuel for the kiln. Initially, when firing pottery, it was necessary to cover the ceramic bodies to isolate wood ash from fire and avoid direct contact, ensuring the consistent glaze color of the products. In ancient China’s orthodox porcelain-making standards, any traces of ash on the glaze or fire marks on the ceramic bodies were not appreciated (when technically avoidable) and were regarded as flawed products.

Leaf-Inlaid Tenmoku Glaze — Mug 3

Best Sellers, Leaf Tenmoku Glaze, LIVE PRODUCTS
$89.00
Leaf-Patterned Tenmoku Glaze is a type of black-glazed porcelain originating from the Jizhou Kiln of the Southern Song Dynasty. Its uniqueness lies in fusing the ash of mulberry or bodhi leaves with black glaze through high-temperature firing, forming off-white vein-like patterns. The core of this craftsmanship involves placing processed leaves on glazed ceramic bodies, which are then fired at a high temperature of approximately 1,300°C. This causes the leaf ash to blend into the glaze, creating a "leaf vein" decorative effect that stands in striking contrast to the black glaze. Leaf-Patterned Tenmoku Glaze was exported overseas during the Song and Yuan dynasties. In the 1980s, the long-lost ancient techniques for producing it were successfully reproduced, and it has now been listed as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Its dark, muted tones and thick, substantial texture are praised as "the beauty of 'sea gold'", making it a cherished treasure pursued by ancient literati and refined scholars.
